This is an exciting new role designed to support the progression of young people living in YMCA DownsLink Group supported accommodation to realise their aspirations & develop their ambition around employment, education and training as part of a holistic integrated learning and support pathway.
Working alongside our housing staff the post holder will lead on assessments and development of individual skills plans that will capture aspiration and inform choices around future career destinations.

The advisor role requires a creative and tenacious style of working in both one to one and group settings, build external networks to increase learning / training opportunities and develop work experience placements, and ensure each learner is equipped.
This activity will sit within a psychologically informed framework and is relationship-led recognising that some of our residents have had significant trauma histories that act as barriers to progression.
Hours are flexible and to be agreed by discussion with the right candidate.
