JOB VACANCY PART-TIME COMBINED ROLE (Roles could be considered separately) VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR & COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR
22 hours per week (12 hours VC & 10 hours CFC)
Hours worked over 3 – 5 days (Mon-Fri) – flexibility required – very occasional evenings and weekends
Excellent organisational & communication skills
Experience in managing individuals and teams
Events management and community fundraising involvement desirable
Ability to work independently
Based in Leatherhead, Surrey, with occasional travel to Kingston
Free on-site parking
Start August/September 2019
In the region of £15k-£16k p.a./ FTE £25k-£27k p.a. pro-rated, dependent on experience
Dyscover is a small registered charity providing long-term support and opportunities to people with aphasia, a language disability acquired through stroke. In this varied and rewarding dual role with excellent synergy, you will need to be flexible and enjoy using your own initiative, in a friendly and positive environment. You will take the lead in managing and developing Dyscover’s team of volunteers, ensuring roles are matched with suitable volunteers, and recruiting new personnel as required. In addition, you will also be responsible for planning, delivering and coordinating Dyscover’s community fundraising events, activities and initiatives. You will be part of a small committed staff team of Speech and Language Therapists, Assistants and support staff, who are dedicated to delivering a high quality service to our beneficiaries. Together with service staff you will support and monitor volunteers to ensure they are equipped to carry out their roles at Dyscover.
