Surrey Community Action connects charity workers to Covid jabs

Surrey Community Action was delighted to help the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust (who are carrying out vaccinations for their own health and care staff) ensure that spare vaccinations did not go to waste by putting out an emergency call to staff and volunteers from front-line voluntary sector organisations delivering health and care activities to vulnerable people across Guildford and Waverley.

We were able to secure late-availability vaccination slots for 234 colleagues in the voluntary and community sector. We know there are thousands more workers in Surrey’s voluntary sector directly supporting the county’s most vulnerable people who could benefit from a vaccination to protect themselves and the people they support and look forward to working with RSFT and others to make sure more VCFS colleagues are vaccinated.
