28 hours per week. Up to £28,000 FTE, fixed term contract 1 year

These hours are offered as one role or can be job carved into a smaller number of hours each week covering producing, administration, and/or presenting.

The Sunnybank Trust is a vibrant community charity that believes that people with learning disabilities should be able to live without prejudice and have confidence, opportunities and control over their own lives.

You will be joining at an exciting time of the charity’s development, as we move towards becoming an integrated organisation that utilises the skills and abilities of those with learning disabilities.

The Sunny Sessions Officer/s are responsible for the production and administration of the twice weekly format of the radio show ‘The Sunny Sessions’ broadcast in partnership with Surrey Hills Radio.

We want the shows to:

Inform: Providing the latest information in an accessible and reassuring format

Connect: Maintaining a sense of community during the post lockdown adjustment period

Entertain: through a range of music and other accessible activities that will appeal to the listeners.

Key Responsibilities – These may be carved into one or all of the following areas.

Production – Planning themes and ideas for the show, record preparation, requests and shout outs

Administration – using One Drive, email and internet to keep documents to do with the Sunny Sessions up to date and maintain monitoring and audience statistics.

Presenting – Prepare & record sections of the radio show using Zoom, Audacity or other software as appropriate.

If you are a good communicator, have lived with or have experience of learning disabilities and are able to keep up with current affairs specific to Learning Disability and Covid-19 we would love to hear from you.
