Our Gypsy, Roma and Traveller outreach project provides practical advice, guidance, information and support to adults and families who are Gypsies, Roma and/or Travellers (GRT) in Surrey and in the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames. We do this through one to one support and signposting to other local services.
The people we support can either contact us directly or be referred to us by another organisation. We provide advice around finance, housing, health, well-being and family issues. We can help with practical things like form-filling too. Our project officers work closely with other services that can also support the GRT community and we can make referrals to these services too.
One to one support can be given in various ways, whichever is most suitable to the person we are supporting. This can be in person, either at the someone’s home or another venue, or over the phone, via email or using video and text apps.
