Rural Housing Week

Due to the election we have postponed sharing with you the news on Rural Housing Week (1st -5th July 2024) until today.

Rural Housing Week, is an annual campaign, ran by the National Housing Federation to highlight the importance of local housing for creating sustainable communities. If you should like to find out more information, please visit National Housing Federation – Rural Housing Week.

This week we will be sending each Parish Council in rural Surrey a newsletter to share with its community. It will be the perfect opportunity to share some recent updates on some wonderfully designed small scale developments in Hambledon and Brockham showing that these developments can work to high levels of design, building and ecological standards and respect our rural landscapes. Throughout the week we will be sharing photographs and stories from local residents in these communities, some news on the potential of Rural Exception Sites and the increased capacity of Rural Housing Enablers to bring projects to fruition.

Please get in touch should you wish to work together to deliver local, affordable homes in your rural community.
