Voluntary Action South West Surrey Conference
9.30 am – 4.30pm 9th April 2019
Rik Medlik Building
University of Surrey
Are we doing enough? Are we doing it in the right way? How can we measure the impact we are making? Could be working better and more effectively? How would we do that?
Are We Making a Difference?
Join us at the University of Surrey on 9th April where we will be addressing some of the issues around making a difference. We will have speakers who will challenge, inspire and celebrate the work of the sector, workshops on a range of topics to help support your work and an opportunity for lively conversation and debate with fellow delegates.
Our speakers include: The Charity Commission’s Head of Policy and Guidance, Jane Hobson; Senior Consultant Charlotte Lamb from New Philanthropy Capital, Chief Executive of Surrey County Council, Joanna Killian, Jason Gaskell from Surrey Community Action, Kate Peters from the Community Foundation for Surrey and more
We have workshops to help you maximise your impact, measure your impact, help you find funding, measure the contribution of volunteering to your organisation, on working with student volunteers from the university, developing your personal skills around presentations and confidence and a chance to input into Guildford’s strategic plan on Health and Wellbeing
Plus plenty of opportunity for networking, visiting the stands at the market place, an option to hear local historian David Rose talking about volunteering through the ages, free parking and a sandwich lunch.
