VASE will be formed from the merger between Tandridge Voluntary Action (TVA) and Voluntary Action Reigate and Banstead (VARB). It will combine the strengths of both organisations, expanding our reach and increasing our impact. Together, we will offer improved support and enhanced services to volunteers, residents and the voluntary sector, community, faith organisations and social enterprises.

We will continue to work strategically with the local public sector, and we look forward to developing the way voluntary organisations are supported in East Surrey..
Join us in strengthening East Surrey’s vibrant voluntary sector. We are particularly looking to fill the key roles of Chair and Treasurer, as well as welcoming applications for general trustee positions.

As the infrastructure organisation supporting the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise sectors across East Surrey, our trustees play a vital role in guiding our strategic direction and ensuring we continue to make a meaningful difference in our communities.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with:

· Strategic leadership experience (for Chair position)

· Financial management expertise (for Treasurer position)

· Strategic leadership experience (for Chair position)

· Knowledge of the voluntary sector

· Experience in governance, risk management, or business development

· A strong commitment to supporting local communities

These are voluntary positions requiring attendance at approximately 6 board meetings per year, occasional subcommittee meetings and work in between. We offer a hybrid approach to meetings and are committed to being inclusive and accessible to all.

Our trustees work closely with our staff team to ensure VASE continues to provide essential support to local voluntary organisations and volunteers across East Surrey.
