For BSL: Support Workers in the Surrey area needed to join our Independent Living team. Locations vary, but are not limited to Redhill, Woking, Guildford and Walton-on-Thames. The below rate of pay is valid from 1st April 2024. Successful candidates starting prior to 1st April will be on a different rate of pay. Please contact HR for more information. Permanent full-time and part-time (16 or 22.5 hours per week). Salary – £23,400 (full-time equivalent) Or Casual (Seasonal) hours for those who like to work flexibly. £12.00 per hour If you would like to join TeamRAD – delivering invaluable one-to-one and group support to deaf people, in their first language, usually British Sign Language (BSL) or via specialist communication systems like Makaton, please get in touch!  Our Independent Living team provides person-centered support so that deaf and deafblind people (including those who have additional support needs, e.g., a learning disability or mental health challenge) can develop the skills needed to live independently. The Seasonal opportunity is flexible work and colleagues can choose support sessions from those offered. Many Seasonal colleagues develop their skills and gain valuable experience before eventually becoming permanent (when vacancies arise). Seasonal colleagues are not permanent employees. There is no guarantee of work and days/hours can vary depending on the needs of the charity. British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 is essential for this role, Level 2 is desirable. Where required we will offer this training as part of the role.
