Gypsy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) Advice and Guidance
This project is dedicated to providing practical advice, guidance, information and support to adults and families who are Gypsies, Roma and/or Travellers (GRT). We do this through one to one support and signposting to other available services.
The people we support can either contact us directly or be referred by another organisation. Our project officer works closely with other services that can support the GRT community and helps GRT people to access general services that are available.
One to one support can be given in various ways, whichever is most suitable to the person we are supporting. This can be in person, either at the person’s home or another venue, or over the phone, via email or using video and text apps.
The Project is a great success, regularly supporting people requiring help around finance, housing, health, well-being and family.
Every month, we host a drop-in advice clinic at our offices at Astolat in Guildford along with GRT nurses. We invite a different support service to join us at each clinic which run from 10.30 to 12.30, on the first Thursday of every month up to and including 2nd December 2021.
For further information about the project or our drop-in clinics, please email our Gypsy, Roma & Traveller Advice and Guidance Officer or call 07734 387311/01483 447 118.
