Illness, disability or mobility problems can sometimes make it difficult for older residents to get to important appointments or even to the local shops. In most cases, we have found that our clients don’t have relatives or friends living close by, so they rely on Horsell Care for transport.
Horsell Care also arranges social events and runs quarterly coffee mornings where clients and volunteers chat over refreshments. Annual events include a canal trip on a narrow boat, an Easter lunch at a local Pub, a Christmas lunch at a local pub, a visit to Wisley Gardens, lunch at the AGM and a Christmas Party for all our clients at the Horsell Evangelical Church.
Our scheme covers:-
Horsell Village in Woking with the following boundaries: Carthouse Lane in the West; Sheerwater Road in the East with the Canal as the southern boundary and Well Lane and Bullbeggars Lane as the western boundary.
