Children are at the heart of everything and over the last year Surrey County Council (SCC) have been building a new approach to help better support the children of Surrey.

Catalyst are working in partnership with Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust and SCC to build the new Family Safeguarding Team. Catalyst is a non-profit organisation working with people who are dealing with issues stemming from mental health and wellbeing needs and drug and alcohol use in Surrey, with over 30 years of working with people in a welcoming and non -judgmental way.

The team will comprise of social workers, family support workers, domestic abuse practitioners, recovery workers, mental health practitioners and psychologists so that the whole team can address all the issues facing a family. By bringing experts together we will achieve better outcomes for children and families in Surrey.

The Family Safeguarding Recovery Worker posts will be part of the i-access integrated substance misuse service which is delivered by Catalyst and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust (SABP) in partnership.

We are looking for a Senior Drug & Alcohol Worker and eight Drug & Alcohol Workers. We need people with experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment and expertise within the Drug & Alcohol field.

We will be interested in candidates who have a level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care and/or a minimum of 2 years community experience of drug, alcohol and mental health work.
