At Crossroads Care Surrey we are currently recruiting for some new Trustees to join our Board.
Have you had previous experience of being a Carer? If so, this is a great opportunity to use your skills for a worthwhile cause, to give something back to the local community and really make a difference to Carers in Surrey. The Trustee role will not only allow you to have input to the decisions that will help shape your local community, but will also allow you to develop some great board level skills at the same time.
You will be required to attend bi-monthly Board meetings (7-9.30pm) and an additional 4 to 5 days throughout the year.
We are a leading, registered Charity that has been supporting Carers for over 35 years. Our core purpose is to improve the quality of life of unpaid Carers and the people for whom they care. We provide respite breaks to help ease the strain on unpaid Carers, giving them a few hours to themselves by taking over the care duties at their home for a minimum 3 hour session or through respite breaks at our community adult and children’s clubs.
Key Responsibilities of the Trustee role to include:-
• Attending Board meetings and the annual AGM
• Contribute to the sub committees
• Participate in strategic and policy decision-making
• Answer queries and provide advice, on an ad hoc basis
• Help to shape and clarify the charity’s mission and vision.
