The Village Hall is a well maintained traditional hall with several regular hirers and a long list of occasional hirers.
It is a Registered Charity for the benefit of those inside and outside the Parish of Compton
In 2019 the Hall was completely redecorated.
It is run by an enthusiastic Management Committee, comprising a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and Bookings Secretary, as well as representatives of the Village Organisations. The Committee meets six times a year to ensure the smooth running and good maintenance of the Hall.
The Hall meets all the current Health and Safety Legislation and has a full premises licence and three Personal Licence Holders. It has Public Liability Insurance and holds a PRS/PPL Licence.
There are eight spaces available for hire at the Woodhatch Community Centre throughout the week, including evenings and weekends.
There are rooms accommodating up to 100 people (or 250 if booking the whole centre) and spaces can be laid out cafe style, theatre style or boardroom style to suit a range of events, such as children's activities, meetings, exercise classes, weddings and other large events.

Reasonably priced homemade hot and cold food is available from the centre's café, Down the Hatch.
The centre has a large comfortable reception area, a dining area, and various activity rooms. Also on site, you'll find a hairdressers and podiatrist - all reasonably priced and available by appointment for members and non-members.
The building has car parking facilities and full access for those requiring mobility assistance.
There are eight spaces available for hire at the Banstead Community Centre throughout the week, including evenings and weekends. There are rooms accommodating up 50 people and costs range from £10 to £25 per hour. Catering is available and additional equipment can be hired.

Transport is currently available two days a week, to and from the centre for those who need it.

There are five spaces available for hire at Horley Community Centre throughout the week, including Regent Hall which can accommodate up to 150 people.

We offer the hall as a "bare-bones" hire. You can choose to hire the hall exclusively or by hiring one of our two available rooms, the Main Hall or our Club Room. Access to the building, and basic contents such as tables, chairs are included in your hire charge.
Our Main Hall measures approximately 28ft x 57.5ft (8.54m x 17.53m).
The Club Room measures approximately 30ft x 24ft (9.15m x 7.32m).
The Committee Room measures approximately 11ft x 19ft (3.36m x 5.80m).
Our legal maximum capacity is 160 for wedding receptions, parties, special events. For plays and concerts our legal maximum capacity is 226.
We have an on-site car park with space for 31 cars. Two of these spaces are for Blue Badge holders.

Registered as a charity, the Hall is run by a management committee of local residents and is the hub for many local activities. The hall has recently been completely re-decorated with new state of the art lighting.
It is currently used by a number of local organisations including Churt Amateur Dramatic Society (CADS), Churt Horticultural and Produce Society (CHAPS), the local Women's Institute and a nursery school. They, and others, host dinners, flower shows, pantomimes, plays, dancing and fitness classes, quiz nights, birthday parties and much more.
The Hall is a valued asset to the local community and members of the management committee are pleased to hire it out to help keep the Hall maintained.
