Community Action is organising the Fuller’s Surrey
Village of the Year competition. Villages that enter will
be judged across four areas of rural village life, including
communities, business, sustainability and communications.

| The judges are looking for well balanced, pro-active, caring
village communities which, irrespective of size, are making
the best of local opportunities in order to enhance and sustain
a better quality of life for all inhabitants. |

The overall winner will receive a cash
prize of £500
|
|
| There are also cash prizes for category winners: Up to £200
each for the winners of the Community, Business, Sustainability
and Communications categories. Category Prizes will be given
to small villages (population less than 1200 ) medium villages
(population up to 3000) and larger villages (population up
to 5000) so every village has a chance to win! |
| The entry process is simple and judging will take place later
in the year. The deadline for entries is 17 September 2010.
