Prospect Housing & Support Services who provide housing and support to disabled people and their carers is seeking a Treasurer and active Board members who have an interest or experience in health and social care. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in influencing and improving local services.
To fulfill these roles you will need to -
Ensure the organisation pursues it's objectives as defined in the rules.
Set overall strategy and policy objectives.
Ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organisation.
Uphold the values of Prospect.
Receive and consider reports prepared by staff and to question these in order to ensure that decisions are well founded.
Prepare for and attend training sessions or other events, such as the Strategy Days.
Uphold Prospect's Code of Governance.

To work with individuals, their family and friends (where appropriate) to develop, budget and implement the individual’s personal Support Plan.

The post-holder will be working alongside people with learning disabilities, and may also support some older people, people with mental health needs, carers or individuals with physical disabilities.

Buddy service

£7.00 - £9.00 per hour

We are recruiting for people to join our Buddy service halow care. You will be supporting young adults with a learning disability, working on a one to one basis.

The main objectives of this role are to; promote life skills, independence and social skills, and to assist young people to access the local and wider community. Also to support young people to take part in leisure activities such as cinema, concerts, shopping, sporting events and nightclubs. There will also be occasional opportunities for residential experiences.

halow care puts a strong emphasis on the quality of the service it offers to young people and we are looking for individuals with the drive and enthusiasm to maintain our high standards. You will need to be patient, empathetic and adaptable. You will have a caring nature and the ability to think on your feet, a good sense of humour is also essential.

Flexible hours are available however the role involves a balance of weekday, evening and weekend work. There is also time available in the school holidays. The work is based in Guildford, West Surrey and the surrounding area. The pay range is £7.00 - £9.00 per hour. All contracts will be zero hours and hours cannot be guaranteed. We currently have Buddy vacancies for substantial part-time workers, ad-hoc work and bank staff.
