Action
Learning Sets provide individuals with the opportunity
to join a small group of up to eight, led by a facilitator
who will help them move forward on issues they face
in the workplace. These could be related to a wide
range of subjects, for example: business planning,
strategy, organisation and structure or people or
team issues. They are especially helpful to people
who are in a new job, are new to management or just
want to benefit from shared experiences.
We
can also arrange Sets that focus on a particular
field, such as volunteer management or fundraising
issues.
Each member of a Set receives help from the others through question, discussion
and review, to develop a way forward on their own issue that they feel comfortable
with. The facilitator has the key role of guiding and monitoring the process.
Strict confidentiality is an essential part of the process. Sets meet six times,
normally with a month between them. At the first meeting, participants will
agree the frequency and timing of meetings. To join a Set, contact Allison
