SCA Training provides high value/low cost short courses in a wide range of personal and professional skills, in house training services and organisational development to charities, voluntary organisations, businesses, social enterprises, community & faith groups and statutory organisations.

Our programme provides individuals with the skills to enable them to do their jobs more effectively and provides organisations with the opportunity to strengthen their capacity for effectiveness and delivery.

The SCA Training programme is designed to meet the skill and personal development needs of staff at all levels in all types of organisations or businesses.

Who is the programme for?  
The SCA Training programme is designed to meet the skill and personal development needs of staff at all levels in all types of organisations or businesses.
SCA Training programme  
SCA Training offers courses which are not funded by external funding bodies. In the past these courses have been available at minimal cost to learners working the Voluntary, Community & Faith Sectors due to funding from the Big Lottery. This funding has now ended, but in order to assist the smaller organisation in obtaining high quality/low cost training SCA Training has a bursary scheme. The award of a bursary will depend on the organisation meeting the eligibility criteria and the availability of funds at the time of application.

Training courses run from 9.30am until 4.00pm and lunch and refreshments is provided, so please make sure you inform our training administrators if you have dietary requirements.
In-house training programme  
SCA Training can offer in-house bespoke training courses for organisations. Many organisations have taken advantage of this service to have a training course specifically designed for their needs. These have included Day to Day People Management, Appraisal Skills, Equality & Diversity, IT skills. The cost for this service is on application
Team Building/Goal Setting for organisations and teams
These are for whole organisations, teams within larger organisations or cross organisation project teams. SCA Training provide an experienced facilitator to help review and agree the way ahead on particular issues, for example, marketing strategy, future objectives

SCA Training organise the event for you which includes, a pre meeting between the organisation and the facilitator, the venue, catering, equipment for the day, the facilitator and an evaluation of the day.
Coaching/Mentoring for Individuals  
SCA Training can provide experienced mentors/coaches for individuals who are seeking one-to-one support to help them work through work based issues and bring about the changes they want and need to achieve. These can include, personal development, performance improvement, business, organisational or HR issues.
Action Leaning Sets for Individuals    
Action Learning Sets provide the opportunity to join a small group that works in a structured way with the help of a facilitator where each person is helped to move forward on workplace issues. These can be open topic or focused on one topic area such as business planning, HR, Leadership. They are especially helpful to people who are in a new job or are new to management and a very valuable tool for personal development
