SURREY RURAL PARTNERSHIP

The aim of the partnership is to:
• Bring together relevant organisations to provide coordination and leadership for rural interests to ensure the best delivery of services in rural Surrey,
• Champion Surrey’s rural interests; and
• Influence and monitor the outcomes of the Local Area Agreement (LAA) and other strategies which impact on rural Surrey.

The role of the Partnership is to:
• Through Partnership members, engage with land-based enterprises, rural communities and wider stakeholders to identify and prioritise environmental, economic and social objectives;
• Influence local, regional and national policies, strategies and their associated allocation of funding to support these objectives.
• Encourage/stimulate partnership bids for projects and funding to support these objectives
• Influence and monitor the outcomes of the rural themes and projects in the LAA and other service delivery plans.
• Work with Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) at both district and county level, and other service delivery agencies, to influence local community strategies and fulfil these roles.
