Meeting Room Hire


Astolat offers three rooms suitable for meetings, small conferences and functions. Each room is well equipped, and furnished to a high standard, with presentation equipment.  Refreshments and additional catering can be arranged. Astolat is an accessible building, with disabled toilets on both floors. All meeting rooms have a hearing loop system and lower level glide rails enabling people in wheelchairs to access whiteboards and flip charts. There is lift access to the first floor.  Ground floor meetings rooms are fully wheelchair accessible, although the first floor meeting room is not available to wheelchair users due to fire evacuation considerations.

Rooms are available to hire seven days a week, during daytime’s and evenings.

Astolat is located in Burpham, near Guildford GU4 7HL, just 3 minutes from the A3 and only 10 minutes by taxi and 20 minutes by public transport from Guildford station.  We encourage the use of public transport wherever possible, but there is ample parking at Astolat.


Ground Floor Board Room

Seats 22 in board room style or bistro/cabaret style, 35 in theatre style

Has gliding screen, white boards and flip chart, ceiling mounted data projector, wi-fi internet access and a hearing loop

First Floor Conference Room 1

Seats 22 board room or bistro/cabaret style, 40 in theatre style

Has gliding screen, white boards and flip chart, ceiling mounted data projector, wi-fi internet access and a hearing loop

Ground Floor Conference Room 2

Seats 12 in boardroom style, 12 in bistro/cabaret style and 15 in theatre style

Has 50inch plasma screen driven by a laptop computer with internet access as well as wi-fi access, DVD/VHS player, additional gliding screen, white boards, flip chart and hearing loop

Room Hire Rates

  • Board Room – £40 per hour (£20 per hour for the voluntary sector)
  • Conference Room 1 -£40 per hour (£20 per hour for the voluntary sector)
  • Conference Room 2 – £25 per hour (£15 per hour for the voluntary sector)
  • Teas and coffees, per session – £1.50 per head
  • Buffet lunch – £6.50 per head

Cancellations will incur a penalty of 10% of the full booking charge, minimum £10.
