Part-time, term-time only (initially 9 – 14 hours per month followed by approx. 6 hours per month)


Various locations across Surrey

The Surrey Care Trust is looking to recruit 4 x sessional Parenting Group Mentors for its Parenting Programme which launched earlier this year. This Parenting Group Mentor role will support parents as a fellow parent/colleague on a structured 10 week parenting course, then help the group to continue meeting once the course ends and provide structured sessions to support the parents. This will enable to group to continue to meet and benefit from peer support as well as gaining some more parenting skills. We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible people who have empathy and good communication skills and want to help support parents on their parenting journey. You will need to travel to the parenting course (starting January 2019) but car mileage will be paid, and courses will be in Surrey. You will receive excellent parenting training (attendance is essential for the role), including a certified 5 day Parent Group Leader course (paid), and will be supported by the Surrey Care Trust. Please note this role is term-time only.

This role can be in a paid or voluntary capacity.
