Rape Crisis Surrey & Sussex (RCSAS) are looking for an Outreach Worker to provide specialist support to marginalised women including those from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Refugee and Migrant women and to those who have experienced Female Genital Mutilation.

Hours: Full time
Salary: £24,000 per annum plus pension contribution
Location: Crawley, West Sussex (with travel in Sussex and Surrey required)
Responsible for: Volunteers
Contract type: Permanent (funding dependent)

The Outreach Worker will be responsible for finding creative ways of engaging women and girls who are marginalised by mainstream society, with a particular focus on women from BAMER (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee) and migrant communities and supporting them in accessing RCSAS’s long term specialist services.

The Outreach Worker will provide face to face support to women and girls aged 13+ who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives.

Candidates must demonstrate experience of working with marginalised groups and an understanding of gender based violence. Specialist sexual violence training will be provided.

The role is subject to receiving Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks and to a probationary period. Staff benefits include generous annual leave entitlement and pension contribution.
