Action Learning Sets for Individuals
Action Learning Sets provide individuals with the opportunity to join a small group of up to eight, led by a facilitator who will help them move forward on issues they face in the workplace. These could be related to a wide range of subjects, for example: business planning, strategy, organisation and structure or people or team issues. They are especially helpful to people who are in a new job, are new to management or just want to benefit from shared experiences.

We can also arrange Sets that focus on a particular field, such as volunteer management or fundraising issues.
Each member of a Set receives help from the others through question, discussion and review, to develop a way forward on their own issue that they feel comfortable with. The facilitator has the key role of guiding and monitoring the process. Strict confidentiality is an essential part of the process. Sets meet six times, normally with a month between them. At the first meeting, participants will agree the frequency and timing of meetings. To join a Set, contact Peter or Allison by emailing training@surreyca.org.uk

Goal Setting/Team Building for Organisations and Teams
These are for organisations, teams within larger organisations or cross-organisation project teams.
We provide an experienced facilitator to help you review and agree the way ahead on particular issues, team building, marketing strategies, future objectives and
policies. The normal format is for three sessions spread over several weeks - a half day to establish the group and understand the obectives, a full day to explore the
issues thoroughly and work on action plans and a final half day to review these and agree any changes.

These are immensely valuable, especially to smaller organisations and those starting new initiatives or facing change. The format can be tailored to meet your organisation 's needs. For example, one or two sessions may be sufficient in some cases. To book this service, please contact Peter or Allison by emailing training@surreyca.org.uk. The organisation normally provides the venue and agrees timings with the facilitator.
