Community Buildings Advice
Our Community Buildings Adviser provides expert advice on any and all matters to do with the operation and management of community buildings.
We can advise on:
- Health and safety
- Best practice
- Trustee responsibility
- Funding advice and support
- Charity Law
We host networking meetings, where trustees, staff and volunteers can share experiences and ideas and give each other some welcome support. We also provide extensive training on all aspects of buildings and events management.
Starting at the beginning of April, we are extending our Community Buildings programme to employ a Community Development worker to work solely in the Lower Green area of Esher. Our Community Development worker will be working with the Lower Green community and with local authorities to establish good governance and financial management of the Lower Green Community Centre, creating new support services and activities for the centre. This will happen alongside the re-development of the Lower Green Community Centre in spring 2018. Our aim by spring 2019 is to see a thriving community centre, being actively governed by community representatives.
