Community Buildings Advisor – Surrey Community Action

Surrey Community Action are seeking a proactive individual to provide an effective desktop-based information and advisory service to community buildings across Surrey.

Based at our Astolat office in Burpham, Guildford, you will initiate, encourage and support sustainable development of community buildings to help them to meet the needs of local communities. You’ll also promote effective communication between statutory bodies and the relevant voluntary organisations and advise, signpost and support community buildings with their funding bids and applications.

You will have a good working knowledge of voluntary sector governance and community buildings in particular. You’ll understand community engagement and how to build relationships with local authority partners. You will be an excellent administrator who is well organised, able to balance multiple priorities and be someone who is good with managing databases and using social media.

Above all, this is a role for an enthusiastic person with a passion for community, who is good with people.

The role is 18 hours per week. £22,000-£24,000 pa pro rata plus 5% pension. This post is a permanent contract.
