Supporting Communities - Voluntary and Community Services - Community Development Team

   
   
The Communities Development Team was established at Surrey Community Action in March 2008 and comprises of 3 projects benefitting individuals from minority groups across Surrey.
 
 
The three projects are:  
Gypsy and Traveller Community Development Worker funded by the Big Lottery from 2008-2013
 
   
Black and Minority Ethnic Community Development Workers for Mental Health funded by Surrey NHS from 2008-2011
 
Southside Partnership The CDW Service is provided in collaboration with Southside Partnership who provide a CDW service for BME communities within Surrey’s prisons. For more information about their work please go to their website or speak to Fabio Gomes at Southside.  
The aim of the Team is to improve the lives of Surrey’s black and minority communities, including Refugees and Asylum Seekers. The Team works with individuals to ensure that they can use the services they require to improve their lives.
 
Gypsy and Traveller Floating Support Service funded by Supporting People (through Surrey County Council) from 2009-2011.
