Membership

Surrey Community Action offers two types of membership:

Full Membership:

This is open to any voluntary/community organisation or Parish Council. The cost is £25 per annum.

Benefits in addition to regular mailings of our magazine and information briefings are:

• Discounts on our training courses and other selected Surrey Community Action events (such as our Annual Conference)
• Discounts on Criminal Record Bureau checks
• Exclusive access to our Payroll Service
• Free ACRE national information sheets for village halls
• Free Toolkits on issues such as Governance
• Priority use of our resource room and library (including desk space, digital camera, laptop, etc.)
• Priority booking and concessionary rates for conference room hire
• Exclusive invitation to Surrey Chair’s Forum (speakers cover topical subjects and members network and exchange experiences)
• Voting rights at our Annual and Extraordinary General meetings (influencing the services we provide)
• Future exclusive members only area on Surrey CA website (available soon)
• Invitation to comment on our Business Plan and other key documents

In accordance with many other charities that have adopted the legal form of Company Limited by Guarantee, those organisations opting for full membership must sign to accept the rights and responsibilities of a guarantor. Liability is limited to a maximum of £1 in the event of the dissolution of the charity.

Associate Membership:

For individuals, businesses, statutory organisations and anybody who, for legal reasons, cannot become a full member we offer associate membership. The cost is £50 per annum.
Benefits are the same as for full membership, except that associate members do not have voting rights
