Our Story

Helping you to help others

Established in 1950, Surrey Community Action is a countywide independent charity which supports voluntary and not-for-profit groups with advice and services to help them to operate more effectively. We also run a range of projects to give local communities a helping hand.

We work to influence the actions of local government, funding bodies, businesses, health and well-being providers and a wide range of other partners and carry out research to support this. Surrey Community Action is both a Rural Community Council and a Council for Voluntary Services.

We have a wealth of knowledge about a variety of organisations, groups and communities across Surrey, from a good neighbour scheme in Oxted, to a Traveller site in Claygate, to a village hall in rural Waverley.
